Our College offers a Career Pathways service that provides students with information about career opportunities including tertiary education, job search, GAP year programs and work experience.
Choosing a career or pathway can often be daunting. We support student career pathways throughout each student’s journey at the College.
Our Year 10 pathways program is designed to equip students with life and workplace skills and give them exposure to a career they may be interested in. Students also explore their career directions by undertaking a career test and follow-up counselling sessions. They undertake their VCE subject selection with the support of one of our career counsellors.
In Year 11 our students have started their VCE and are supported along the way with one-on-one or group counselling sessions on a 'needs' basis. They are also supported and encouraged through the process of Year 12 subject selection.
In Year 12, our students visit the Careers Centre frequently. They have one-on-one career counselling, undertake course application and are provided with the skills and knowledge to maximise opportunities for successful transition to employment or further study.
Our College has qualified Careers Educators to help support students with all aspects of their future pathway planning. They ensure our students have the resources they need to reach both their academic and vocational goals.
